Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of esigna (the “Service”). By using the Service, with or without an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use esigna. Contact us at support@esigna.app.

esigna lets you design email signatures and export them as HTML, an image, or plain text. You can use it without an account, in which case one draft is kept in your browser. A free account can save two Signatures for editing from any device. The optional, one-time $19 Signature plan raises that limit to ten and lets you fill a Signature from one you already have. It is not a subscription.

A signature kept only in your browser is your responsibility: if you clear your browser’s data or switch devices, it is gone, and we have no copy to restore.

• An account is optional; if you create one, keep its information accurate and up to date
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your location (and at least 13)
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or other users

You agree not to:

• Upload photos, logos or other content you do not have the rights to use
• Use the Service to create illegal, harmful, deceptive or abusive content
• Use image hosting for anything other than your email signatures
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload or disrupt the Service
• Circumvent rate limits, authentication or other protections
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a signature
• Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights

You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as your details, photos and logos. You grant us a limited license to store, process, host and display it as needed to run the Service for you — including publishing the images in your signature at public web addresses so that email clients can show them.

Hosted images stay available so that signatures already in use keep working. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law. You are solely responsible for how you use exported signatures outside esigna.

Signature plan purchases are processed by Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record. Access is added to the account used at checkout after payment confirmation. The plan is for one account and does not add ten Signatures to each device or user. See our Refund Policy. Earlier credit pack purchases remain covered there too.

The Service relies on providers such as Clerk (authentication), Supabase (data), Vercel (hosting and storage), TypeSafe (reading a signature you paste) and Dodo Payments (purchases). Their terms and privacy practices apply to their processing. Email clients and other tools where you paste signatures are outside our control.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE, OR THAT A SIGNATURE WILL DISPLAY THE SAME WAY IN EVERY EMAIL CLIENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ESIGNA AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL — INCLUDING THE LOSS OF A SIGNATURE KEPT ONLY IN YOUR BROWSER. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS, IF ANY, YOU PAID TO US IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service. You may stop using esigna at any time. Provisions that should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of esigna is located, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes that cannot be resolved informally, except where prohibited by law.
