How to create an email signature with ChatGPT
Add the free esigna app to ChatGPT from Plugins, then start a chat, tag esigna and ask to see its templates. Pick one and ask ChatGPT to add your photo, details and logo, or choose Edit to change it by hand. Choose Copy signature and paste it into Outlook's signature settings.

Add esigna to ChatGPT
Once, and esigna is there in every chat after that.
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins from the sidebar.
- Search for esigna.
- Choose + beside esigna to add it.
Or choose Open esigna in ChatGPT at the top of this page, which goes straight to esigna's page there.
Design it by asking
Start a new chat and tag esigna at the start of each message, so ChatGPT makes each change in esigna instead of writing a signature of its own.
- Ask to see the templates. ChatGPT opens esigna's gallery in the chat.
- Choose Use this template on the one you like.
- Give your name, job title, company, website and email.
- Attach your photo in its own message and ask ChatGPT to use it.
- Ask for anything else in your own words: another color, a button that opens an email to you, or a place for your logo, then attach the logo.
- To change something yourself, choose Edit. esigna's Editor opens over the chat, and you can go back to asking at any time.
Photos and logos can be JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, under 10 MB each. If ChatGPT says it can't reach esigna, tag esigna and send the message again.
Copy it into Outlook

- Choose Copy signature, then Copy signature again in the window that opens.
- In Outlook, open Settings, search for signature and choose Signatures.
- Choose Add signature, give it a name and paste into the box.
- Tick the boxes to use it for new messages and for replies and forwards, then choose Save.

Making a signature in ChatGPT
Is esigna free in ChatGPT?
Yes. Adding esigna to ChatGPT and making a signature with it costs nothing, there is nothing to buy inside ChatGPT, and you don't need an esigna account.
Can't ChatGPT make an email signature on its own?
It can write one as text or code. What it can't do alone is show you how the signature will look in an inbox, put your photo and logo online where emails can load them, or copy it so Outlook and Gmail paste a design rather than code. With esigna, ChatGPT starts from designed templates and esigna does those parts.
Does it work for Gmail and Apple Mail too?
Yes. The signature is the same wherever it goes; only the paste differs. The Copy window has the steps for Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and the iPhone, and the setup guides cover every version of each.
Do I have to tag esigna in every message?
It's what the video recommends. Tagged, ChatGPT makes each change in esigna and shows you the signature. Without the tag, it may reply in words alone.
Can I change the signature myself?
Yes. Choose Edit and esigna's Editor opens over the chat. Click anything on the signature to change it, upload or crop an image, then go back to asking. Your changes and ChatGPT's stay in step.
Which templates can ChatGPT use?
esigna's free templates, in four groups: Essential, Professional, Editorial and Creative. ChatGPT can also suggest a few designs of its own for you to choose from.
Where is my signature kept?
esigna keeps it as a draft for 30 days after your last change. Images you add go online at public but unguessable links, so emails can show them, and they stay up after the draft is gone, so emails you've already sent keep working.
