HubSpot email signature generator vs esigna
HubSpot’s generator is free, needs no account and has 12 templates, and it’s the natural pick if you send email from HubSpot’s CRM. esigna is free without an account too, but you add your photo and logo as files, it asks for no contact details in return, and nothing is added under your signature.
Compared on October 23, 2026, from each product’s own pages.
Choose HubSpot’s generator if
- You send email from HubSpot’s CRM and want the signature there. It pastes into your HubSpot profile as HTML.
- Your photo and logo are already online, on your website or in HubSpot’s file manager.
- You want a handwritten signature in it. The generator has a drawing pad and eight handwriting fonts.
Choose esigna if
- Your photo and logo are files on your computer or phone.
- You’d rather not give HubSpot your email, phone number, company name, website and company size to get your signature.
- You want more designs to start from: 29 free ones, each built for email.
- You want to see it in dark mode, on a phone and in Outlook for Windows before you paste it.

Your photo and logo
HubSpot’s Images tab has a box for your photo and one for your logo, and each takes the web address of an image that’s already online. HubSpot’s page says to upload the file to its file manager, Dropbox or another host that gives a direct link, and to avoid Google Drive, whose links may not show in every email app.
In esigna you choose the file itself, from your computer or your phone. You can crop it, and the Editor sizes it for email. When you copy the signature, esigna hosts the pictures it points to and keeps them, since the emails you’ve already sent still show them.
Before you see your signature
When you press Create signature in HubSpot’s generator, one more step comes before your signature. HubSpot needs your email, phone number, company name and website, so it asks for any you left out of the Details tab, and it adds a slider for how many people work at your company. If you filled in all four, the slider is all you see. A note under them says HubSpot uses what you give it to contact you about its content, products and services, and that you can unsubscribe at any time.
esigna asks for nothing before you copy. Copy signature works as soon as your details are in, with or without an account.
The line under your signature
The signature HubSpot gives you ends with a small “Create Your Own Free Signature” link to its generator. A switch in the Details tab, labelled Created With HubSpot, decides whether it’s there. When we made a signature on October 23, 2026, the link stayed until we flipped that switch.
esigna adds nothing under your signature, free or paid.
If you send email from HubSpot
This is where HubSpot’s generator is most useful. To use the signature for emails you send from HubSpot, you need HubSpot CRM and Sales access, then you paste the source code into the HTML box of your signature under Profile & Preferences. HubSpot says its CRM is free.
An esigna signature can go in the same box. Choose Copy HTML code in esigna’s Copy dialog and paste it into the HTML box in HubSpot.
Moving your signature from HubSpot to esigna
- Open esigna’s free Editor and pick a Template.
- Type your name, title and contact details, and add your photo and logo as files.
- Check it in the preview: in an inbox, in dark mode, on a phone and in Outlook for Windows.
- Press Copy signature and paste it over the old one in your email app’s signature settings. The guides to changing it in Gmail and Outlook show where that is.

FAQ
Questions
Is HubSpot’s email signature generator free?
Yes. It needs no account and has 12 templates. Before it shows your finished signature, it needs your email, phone number, company name and website, asking for any you left out, plus your company size, and HubSpot says it may use them to contact you about its products.
How do I remove “Create Your Own Free Signature” from a HubSpot signature?
In the generator’s Details tab, flip the switch labelled Created With HubSpot, then create the signature again and copy it. If the signature is already in your email app, you can also delete that line in your signature settings.
Can I upload a photo to HubSpot’s email signature generator?
Not as a file. The Images tab takes the web address of an image that’s already online, so you upload the picture somewhere first, such as HubSpot’s file manager or Dropbox, and paste its link.
Is esigna free?
Yes. Making and copying a signature is free without an account, with 29 free Templates. A free account saves two signatures. The Signature plan, $9 once (launch price until October 31, then $19), adds the Pro Templates, the holiday Seasons and up to 25 saved signatures.
Can I use an esigna signature in HubSpot?
Yes. Copy it as HTML code in esigna, then paste it into the HTML box of your signature in HubSpot, under Profile & Preferences. HubSpot needs CRM and Sales access to send it from there.
