esigna, a WiseStamp alternative for your own signature

WiseStamp is built for companies, with hundreds of templates and plans that manage everyone’s signature through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Its help center says its free plan covers one signature and adds “Create your own email signature with WiseStamp” under it, and that only a paid plan removes the line. Paid plans start at $9 a month, billed yearly. esigna is free and needs no account. It adds nothing under your signature, and if you want more, you pay once.

Choose WiseStamp if

  • You look after a company’s signatures and want them installed and kept up to date for everyone, from Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Exchange.
  • You run banner campaigns in your emails.
  • You want a browser extension to add your signature in Gmail, so you never paste it.
  • You want hundreds of templates to browse.

Choose esigna if

  • It’s your own signature, or a small team’s, and you’d rather not pay every month.
  • You want it free with nothing about the tool under it.
  • You want to try designs before you make an account.
  • You’re happy to paste it into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail yourself, once.

What WiseStamp’s free plan includes

WiseStamp’s help center calls its free plan a limited version of WiseStamp that covers one signature for one user. More templates, extra signatures and team management are only on paid plans. Free signatures carry a line that reads “Create your own email signature with WiseStamp”. The same article lists Free among older plans that can no longer be bought, and the pricing page shows no free plan.

The Remove WiseStamp branding button in the Studio is only there for you to see. The people you write to keep seeing the line until you upgrade to a paid plan, which you can do from anywhere in your account. The 14 day free trial shows the line too.

What WiseStamp costs

These are the prices on WiseStamp’s pricing page, per month and billed yearly. Its help center says monthly billing is offered when you first buy a plan, on the pricing page inside the web app. Every plan comes with a 14 day free trial that needs no card.

Where WiseStamp is the better choice

For a company, WiseStamp does things esigna doesn’t. On its company plans, its signature manager connects to Google Workspace, Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange, keeps each person’s details in sync from there and publishes one design to everyone. It runs banner campaigns, and its Chrome extension adds your signature in Gmail for you.

esigna doesn’t connect to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Each person pastes their own signature into their own email app.

What esigna does instead

You open the Editor, pick one of 29 free Templates, type your details and add your photo and logo as files. The preview shows it in an inbox, in dark mode, on a phone and in Outlook for Windows. Then you copy it and paste it into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail. There’s no account to make, and nothing is added under it.

A free account keeps two signatures. The Signature plan is $9 once (launch price until October 31, then $19), with no subscription: the Pro Templates, the holiday Seasons, up to 25 saved signatures and Team links, where one design goes to your whole team and each person adds their own name, title and photo.

Moving from WiseStamp to esigna

  1. Make your new signature in esigna’s Editor and copy it.
  2. If WiseStamp’s Chrome extension adds your signature in Gmail, remove the extension from Chrome’s extensions page. If you connected WiseStamp to your Google account, remove that connection and delete the old signature in Gmail’s settings, as WiseStamp’s help explains.
  3. Paste the new signature into your email app’s signature settings, then send yourself an email to check it. The guides to changing it in Gmail and Outlook show where that is.

FAQ

Questions

Is WiseStamp free?

Its help center describes a free plan for one signature, with a “Create your own email signature with WiseStamp” line under it, though the same article lists Free among plans no longer sold and the pricing page shows no free plan. Paid plans start with Pro+ at $9 a month, billed yearly, and every plan has a 14 day free trial.

How do I remove “Create your own email signature with WiseStamp”?

WiseStamp’s help center says upgrading to a paid plan removes it from your signature. The Remove WiseStamp branding button you may see is shown only to you.

Do I need an account to use esigna?

No. You can make, preview and copy a signature without one, and it stays in that browser. A free account keeps two signatures on any device you sign in on, and the Signature plan keeps up to 25.

Can esigna manage signatures for a whole company?

Not the way WiseStamp does. esigna doesn’t connect to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. With Team links you make one design and send one link, each person adds their own details and copies their signature, and one account holds up to 25. For more people, write to us from the pricing section.

How do I stop WiseStamp adding its signature in Gmail?

Remove the WiseStamp extension from Chrome’s extensions page. If you connected WiseStamp to Google, remove that connection from your Google account too, then delete the old signature in Gmail’s settings.
